Bringing Families and Communities Together with Better Policy

Under Construction

Lifespan Healthcare, PLLC

My name is Anaresia M. Richard, and for over 20-years I have been the founder of Lifespan Healthcare, PLLC, a Rural Primary Care Clinic. I represent Mohave County, the "Heroin Capital" of Arizona; which is an underserved rural tri-state region of Arizona, Nevada, and California. Multiple generations of residents grapple with health disparities tied to substance use disorders, exacerbated by a lack of accessible local treatment options. The prevalent low socioeconomics compound these challenges; creating health barriers that impact equity, diversity, and inclusion across crucial aspects like education, employment, food, housing, and transportation.

My professional roles as a primary care provider and clinic owner, lead to other vital community roles such as Biomedical Clinical and Community Researcher, Medical Director of Methadone Clinic; Community Activist; Community Development Specialist; Author; Founder of Zoe’s Charities; Brand Ambassador; Life Coach; Mentor; Motivational Speaker; English as Second Language Teacher (Chinese); and Graduate Professor of Leadership & Management.

I am dedicated to propelling discoveries and translating data science findings to enhance national health; aligning with the rigorous standards set by the National Institute of Health. This research not only seeks to deepen our medical understanding, but contributes to cultivating a resilient diverse workforce, fostering advancements in new medicines and devices.

As a Biomedical Clinical and Community Researcher, my responsibilities encompass data mining and analyzing datasets to identify health disparities and trends, and then make updates to clinical and community practice. Translational Research is able to extend to rural underserved populations, encompassing Primary Care, Women’s Health, Maternal Infant Health, Pediatric Health, Young Adult Health, and Men’s Health. Also, special populations like Mental Health, Behavioral Health, Substance Disorders including Methadone, HIV/AIDS, Disabilities, Transplants, LGBTQIA, Tribes, and Agriculture Farming.

My vision as a diverse biomedical researcher centers on contributing to the nation's health enhancement. My mission is to develop, assess, and improve National Institute of Health policies and procedures, providing support for innovative training, career development, education, and comprehensive analysis of a diverse biomedical research workforce. Further, dedicated to propelling discoveries, advancing health initiatives, and fostering diversity with community growth; and resilience with small business development bringing impactful translational forms to communities across the country.

Purpose

Creating healthier happier communities where individuals, families, and their children can thrive in a safe enriched environment; and where there is diversity and inclusion for

all community members. A community’s goal should be to provide prevention campaigns, programs, and services for specific problems and high-risk populations discovered in their Community Needs Assessments; because known problems can lead to unhealthy community environments.  Prevention is the KEY in communities; and it is cheaper to prevent problems rather than make costly interventions to create and maintain wrap-around-services for individuals, families, and their children; that have been affected in a negative fashion.
